WARNING!!! – If you use softwareupdate –ignore to block macOS Catalina.
If you use softwareupdate --ignore "macOS Catalina
to ignore Catalina, you will need a different plan. I mentioned this in my Catalina 10.15.5 Update Article.
After installing the 2020-003 Security update on Mojave, you will no longer be able to ignore macOS Catalina from showing up in System Preferences > Software Update.
UPDATE: 5/27/20 – I just wrote an article explaining this a little better below.

Security Updates 2020-003 Mojave
after this update 2020-003 my Imac (high Sierra) is crashing at all times! I need to work on my computer and it was impossible!
After this new update on my Mac mini 2018 on 10.14.6 I still the crash report from bridge os, even though there was no crash before, that I had already reported in April after the previous update. The only way to prevent this meaningless crash report, is to omit Safari. With Firefox or Chrome all works fine. Could it be, that Apple wants us to leave Safari?
A day or two after installing 2020-003 on High Sierra on both my main machine (2010 27″) and a High Sierra VM it runs, a day or two later it was offered again by both. App Store says both that it’s available and that it was recently installed.
I’ve seen several complaints about this, and one blog had a claim that Apple RE-released 2020-003, but no confirmation elsewhere. Can anyone shed light on this?
TIA.
Gary,
I did confirm this and posted an update above. Thanks!
Security update 2020-003 was a kiss of death for my iMAC 27 inches late 2009 running on High Sierra 10.13.6 (with installed security update 2020-002). In contrast to many other reports, I did not have any issue with the video or hardware acceleration, and so I installed the security update 2020-003. Once starting Google Meet in Safari (13.1.1), the screens freezes within one minute. I just realized that I got even the problem in safe mode when the screen saver kicked in (the screen went black and would not come back to life; everything is working fine otherwise …)
I am currently backing up my hard drive and will roll back to the previous OS version but this is quite a waste of time! If there is any faster solution, please contact me …
Same here, problems with 2020-003. And I got back from Mojave to High Sierra, just to find the same problem. Don’t know what to do.
Do we have definite confirmation that a fix for the Intel GPU Freezing Issue from 2020-002 Mojave patch is included in 2020-003?
