Apple has released macOS Ventura’s first software update to the public! The 13.0.1 update comes only a few weeks after the pubic launch of Ventura. Let’s jump in and find out what’s new!

The Ventura 13.0.1 patch notes state:

This update includes bug fixes and security updates and is recommended for all users.

We know the update fixes security vulnerabilities but how many and what kind of bugs are fixed?

UPDATE: @0xmachos – Nov 10 Appears that macOS Ventura 13.0.1 has fixed the Endpoint Security Framework (ESF) Full Disk Access (FDA) permission bug https://github.com/objective-see/BlockBlock/issues/54#issuecomment-1310082160

  • 6. #MacAdmins note – This update was released in the first 30 days of launch, and will NOT show up as a delta upgrade for MDM supervised Macs.
  • 7. OpenCore Legacy Patcher Users – Ventura 13.0.1 update successfully installed on a 6,1 Mac Pro with OCLP 0.5.1. NOTE: Do not revert the post volume patches to get a smaller update. OCLP + Ventura require the full 11GB update to prevent issues & “preparing” erros
