NSExpression
immediately forbids certain operations that have significant side effects, like creating and destroying objects. Additionally, casting string class names into Class objects withNSConstant
is deprecated. (84017178)Workaround: Pass temporary objects toValue Expression NSExpression
in the context parameter ofexpression
, or withValue With Object: context: NSPredicate
as thesubstitution
parameter ofVariables evaluate
. You can create a derived predicate with all the substitution variables replaced (bound), usingWith Object: substitution Variables: with
on an existingSubstitution Variables(_:) NSPredicate
so that code using the object can continue to use a simpleevaluate(with object: Any?)
invocation.

APIs such asconnection

. If you configure a cleartext HTTP PAC URL, the system may upgrade it to HTTPS during PAC file loads. Web Proxy Auto-Discovery (WPAD) Protocol via DNS isn’t affected. Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) Option 252 WPAD may attempt to upgrade cleartext HTTP URLs to HTTPS during PAC file loads. (61981845)Execute Proxy Auto Configuration URL(_: _: _: _:)

Monterey 12.0.1 RC Update
I just updated to 12.0.1 this morning and my FaceTime has started to do the exact same thing, I get a called failed error unless I have my AirPods connected.
Audio works well with all other applications, FaceTime seems to be an issue, I also noted that if I try to make phone calls from my iMac the call fails on my iMac but seems to continue on my iPhone.
2020 iMac 27in
3.8 GHz 8-Core Intel i7
64 GB 2667 MHz DDR4
AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16 GB
Hi Mr. Macintosh, Is it possible for you to give me or upload a youtube video of the new Monterey screensaver? because I want it in Big Sur.
I’ve got that on my list now!
Still can’t make or place any FaceTime calls with my 2020 intel iMac
every call results in “call failed” the only work around is to route audio through a bluetooth connected speaker.
I’ve been reporting the issue with every interaction of the beta and the dev teams have seemingly ignored the issue.
I’m extremely disappointed with the level of inattention to FaceTime bugs over the years
I’ve wiped my iMac, tried to use safe mode, verified the core files using single user mode, PRAM reset, SMC reset, relogged the account, tried every possible setting work around, I’ve even used different iCloud accounts and for some reason I still have to rely on Zoom and MS teams to make video calls using my $4000 iMac
Not sure what’s up with your facetime, but I’m using a 2020 Intel iMac 27in with no issues.
Specs: 3.1GHz 6-core Intel i5, 40 GB DDR4 Memory, AMD Radeon Pro 5300 4GB
