New Enterprise Features
1. MDM administrators can now use the DeviceLock command to lock a Mac with Apple silicon with a six-digit PIN and an optional message. A network connection and authentication by a SecureToken enabled local administrator will be required to activate it.
2. MDM administrators can use the new SetRecoveryLock command to set a password on a Mac with Apple silicon that will be required to enter macOS Recovery. They can also use the new VerifyRecoveryLock command to verify the password that is currently set and the SecurityInfo response will include a new IsRecoveryLockEnabled boolean.
Fixed Enterprise Issues

Big Sur 11.5 Update
Hi. I have just updated to Big Sur 11.5 and all desktop icons have disappeared, leaving only the MacHD icon! My Desktop folder was empty! I tried rebooting a couple of times to no avail. Finally, I restored my Desktop folder from the last Time Capsule backup prior to the update. It is still downloading so I don’t know if it will be successful. Then I must check my Documents folder. What is going on here, Apple? An update shouldn’t potentially trash a user’s machine: this is really poor work by your update department. i just hope restoring from Time Capsule any files lost will sort the problem.
What is the SHA-256 verification hash?
yesterday I installed the 20G71 with the software update
thank you for what you do
