macOS Sequoia 15.5 Update is now Available!

Apple just dropped the 5th major release for Sequoia, macOS Sequoia 15.5 Update! Let’s jump in and find out what’s new.

One big fix that parents will like = “Parents now receive a notification when the Screen Time passcode is used on a child’s device.”

Also note that Apple has deprecated AFP (Apple Filing Protocol). The protocol dates all the way back to System 6 (AppleShare) 1988.

“Apple Filing Protocol (AFP) client is deprecated and will be removed in a future version of macOS.“

Apple just dropped the 5th minor release for Sequoia, macOS Sequoia 15.4.1 Update! Let’s jump in and find out what’s new.

This update is focused on security and fixing a macOS update and upgrade issue that was causing user to be unable to install 15.4.

Security updates note that 2 vulnerabilities have been patched: “Apple is aware of a report that this issue may have been exploited in an extremely sophisticated attack against specific targeted individuals on iOS.“

macOS Sequoia 15.4 Update is now Available!

Apple just dropped the 4th major release for Sequoia, macOS Sequoia 15.4 Update! Let’s jump in and find out what’s new.

This update is considered the “Spring Release” because it is the last big update for macOS Sequoia. All focus from Apple will now be on the development of macOS 16. Without a doubt, this is a HUGE update and will take some time to go through! Stay tuned!

IMPORTANT NOTE: The 15.4 update will automatically enable “Download And Install OS Updates”! Be sure to disable this if you don’t want OS updates to automatically download and install. Turning off Auto Updates is REQUIRED for OCLP users!

1. UPDATE: OpenCore Legacy Patcher 2.3.0 was just released and it includes Sequoia 15.4 compatibility!

2. UPDATE 2: OCLP 2.3.1 was released to fix an issue with OCLP Vaulting that affected a few models.

3. UPDATE 3: OCLP 2.3.2 Hotfix released to fix T1 password crashing issue.

Apple just broke 2 records with the Sequoia 15.4 Update!

macOS Sequoia 15.2 is now Available!

Apple just released the 2nd major release for macOS Sequoia! Let’s jump in and find out what’s new.

This is a HUGE update that is focused around Apple Intelligence features for Apple Silicon Macs 2020 M1 and newer.

This update includes new Apple Intelligence features, including Image Playground, Genmoji, Writing Tools enhancements, seamless support for ChatGPT, and visual intelligence.

UPDATE: Check this out! Apple also released a 2nd version of macOS Sequoia 15.2 (24C2101) that includes information about the 2025 M4 MacBook Air!

macOS Sequoia 15.1.1 is now Available!

Apple just released the 2nd minor point release for macOS Sequoia! Let’s jump in and find out what’s new.

Apple’s update notes list the following “This update provides important security fixes and is recommended for all users.”

NOTE (UPDATE 9:00PM This issue is fixed!!!) If you are trying to restore macOS Sequoia 15.1.1 on Apple Silicon you will get an error. “The System cannot be restored on this device” This is due to Apple not uploading the proper decryption keys.

Affected versions: Sequoia 15.1.1 (24B91) & (24B2091) M4 visionOS 2.1.1 (22N591) 1. Restore Sequoia 15.1.1 IPSW 2. Create a Sequoia 15.1.1 VM 3. Restore visionOS 2.1.1 IPSW

Also updated was Safari 18.1.1 (20619.2.8.11.12). This version is included in the macOS Sequoia 15.1.1 Update. Version 18.1.1 is also available as a standalone update for macOS Sonoma and Ventura.
