Big Sur 11.2 Update
I was hoping that his update would come with firmware to fix the camera issue that resolves in a black screen and rendering it useless. Ever since the first big sur update I have this issue. Firmware 1554.80.3.0.0 didn’t fix this. Apple store advises to wait for the supplemental updates. Wonder when they will come out and bring a fix…
While I am now able to use startosinstall through a non-booted volume on a non macOS 11 recovery partition, has anyone noticed the –installpackage flag doesn’t work at all?
The issue was with Jamf Composer 10.26.1…..packages generated by it don’t seem to work with startosinstall. Generating packages with Composer 10.20 resolved the issue.
Still black screen on start up when using Apple USB-C VGA Multiport-adapter.
There was issues when wiping a system and re-installing the macOS using startup options & disk utility. I was forced to use Apple Configuration Manager using DFU mode to restore machines. In this latest OS update for Big Sur was this fixed?
Reaching 15 minutes remaining, ”can’t proceed, the installer is damaged…” was installing it the earlier version of BigSur’s Partition on an Intel MacBook Pro 2017
This update may break secondary displays using HDMI to DiaplayPort adapters. Mine no longer works after the update and I am currently on a call with Apple Support to see if we can resolve the issue.
