- New in macOS Sonoma Beta 7, when logging in for the first time after the update, it asks you to choose your wallpaper. Credit Aaron @aaronp613
- New in macOS Sonoma Beta 7 – Apple has added 116 new animated wallpapers in addition to the new Live Sonoma wallpaper in Beta 6. Credit @finjassauer
Resolved Issues
- Fixed: Users might experience a blank screen with an active cursor for an indefinite period of time when attempting to update to Sonoma Beta 6.
- Fixed in beta 7: Apps using SwiftData that are built with Xcode 15 beta 6 have known issues when running on macOS Sonoma 14 beta 6.
- Resolved: An issue where the screen did not lock using the menu item or
keyboard shortcuts.
Known Issues
- Create ML may crash or hang on launch on devices with macos 14.0 beta 7.
- Apple Configurator fails to add apps to devices.

8. Apple Silicon M1 OS loader Version (iBoot)
OS Loader Version (iBoot) also referred to as “iBoot second-stage loader”, is Apple’s stage 2 bootloader. The OS loader version will be the same as the “System Firmware Version” on the latest OS. On previous versions of macOS Monterey and Big Sur, the OS loader version will be a version behind. Example = Monterey = 7459.121.3 & Big Sur = 6723.140.2
