Does Monterey, when running on a Mac mini M1, correct the issue of colour corruption on waking from sleep?
Update to Beta 7 and seems now back to only being able to use 1 external monitor. Both monitors connected via USB-C (1 HDMI Adapater) but as soon as second monitor is detected, first one turns off.
There’s a bug in the b7 full installer postinstall script that links in the SharedSupport.dmg, such that your installed app won’t actually be usable (I assume it will try to download the assets at install time). Either hardlink it in yourself, or fix the script and then re-execute it as root (I can’t really put it down in a blog comment, but anyone who can spot the error in the script will have no trouble).
My 2020 MacBook Air with M1 Apple Silicon says I am still up to date with Beta 6, “last checked” Wed Sep 22 at 14:39 USA Pacific Daylight time. I also still have the Monterey Beta 6 = 7429.40.38 firmware. Maybe there is a delay with Apple Silicon?
Jerry it is live for sure, did you try restarting? It should show up now. If not you can always use the full installer to get to beta 7.
Well, after waiting for two days while attending other priorities, I checked System Preferences once more, still got the erroneous indication that I was “up to date”, then took your advice and restarted. After the restart, I checked again and immediately the update to Beta 7 is available as expected.
So, your advice was good. Thank you.
May not be sure that everyone get all updates?
I know that it’s been the same way for Tesla’s etc. That you try to have two or more different beta versions running at the same time to compare changes done in the last versions in real time. Does any one got an insight if apple does the same?
In my instance, I’ve only been offered odd numbered versions so far since update 3. So my update history has been 3-5-7
Beta 7 strange behaviour when activating an application or such. The app or else get activated but does not show on front immediately , but needs a second button click to show on top of an other already open screen.
