The new macOS Tahoe wallpaper is here!
The new macOS Tahoe wallpaper is LIVE in macOS Tahoe Beta 1! The actual location of the new wallpapers in .heic /System/Library/Wallpapers/.default and .mov format are located in /System/Library/Desktop Pictures/.wallpapers. NOTE: This is a hidden folder, so you need to use “Shift-Command-Period” to show hidden files.
macOS Tahoe Beta 1 UPDATE: The location for the default Tahoe Default or Tahoe Sunrise is /System/Library/Wallpapers/.default This is the same location for the macOS Sequoia 15 Sunrise default wallpapers for Light and Dark
15.1 BETA 2 UPDATE:The location of the 2 new downloadable aerial (Morning & Night) wallpapers is /Library/Application\ Support/com.apple.idleassetsd/Customer/4KSDR240FPS NOTE: Both (Morning & Night) need to be downloaded manually and are available as an arial wallpaper only. Click the Show All button to see them. in the Screen Saver section of System Settings. A .heic dynamic wallpaper file of Morning and Night are not available yet.
Listed below are all the macOS Tahoe Beta wallpapers, I needed to change the host to Google Drive due high download bandwidth. NOTE: In Tahoe, Sonoma & Sequoia the /System/Library/Desktop Pictures directory is SIP protected. Instead you can click on the .png file and then select Services > Set as Desktop Picture.
